i’m naomi
My interest in therapy began back in 2008 after a snowboarding injury landed me in the hospital with a fractured spine. I discovered that when I used yoga as a method of physical therapy it was not long before I began to feel a better connection with my mind, body, and the world around me. This led me down a path to devour and learn all about Western and Eastern healing modalities.
As a holistic psychotherapist, I bring a blended approach to healing both the mind and body. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and over 500+ hours of somatic and yoga certifications. In addition, I worked for lululemon for 6+ years as a People and Culture Manager. In that time I supported diversity and inclusion standards, created mental health initiatives for teams and guided leadership through executive coaching.
Working with me is like sitting down with one of your best friends, lending you an open nonjudgmental ear, sprinkled with a little laughter and a whole lot of vulnerable validation. Expect a healthy dose of challenging harmful core beliefs to bring out the best version of you. We’ll set tangible goals and celebrate small victories; healing is non-linear and often takes a few tries. As always, everything in life takes practice.
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all type of practice. I know that intersectionality and diversity matter when it comes to healing and our therapeutic relationship. I have worked extensively with marginalized communities and am passionate about advocating for women’s health, the LGBTQ+ community, and POC.
Welcome to Humbly Elevated, I am so happy to have you here.
